New York State PIRC – Parental Information & Resource Center



CCE-PIRC

The Cornell Cooperative Extension-Parental Information and Resource Center (CCE-PIRC) in partnership with Jefferson-Lewis Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) provides information and support to families and schools in New York State.  The CCE-PIRC is headquartered in Watertown, New York and is a program of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County.

The PIRC provides comprehensive training, information, and support to parents, teachers, school administrators, and school personnel to build family-school partnerships and strengthen family involvement programs.

CCE-PIRC Programs:

Parents as Teachers – Home visiting program for families in Jefferson County, (an area covering eleven (11) school districts) with children five (5) and under.

Parenting Education- Services include workshops, family resource rooms, and individual consultations

Professional Development for Educators - Workshops and consultation for administrators, teachers, school personnel, and other professionals regarding family engagement.
